Event Description:
Art of Looking Thursday August 7th @ 5:00pm Julie White Pierce, Gallery and Program Director at Oliver Art Center, will discuss an approach to art appreciation she calls the Art of Looking. Topics will include how to define the word “Art”, how to discern whether a work was good or bad (or if that is even truly possible), and whether or not in order to designate something as fine art a work has to have qualifiers such as beauty, skill, meaning, and more.
