CELEBRATE EASTER WEEK
Blaine Christian Church welcomes families in our area to celebrate a week of Easter activities with our church family. All of these activities are free and open to the public.
On Palm Sunday, March 25th, during both worship services (8:30 am and 11 am), everyone who attends will celebrate and remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem with palm branches. The branches will be burned at a later date and the ashes will be used in the church’s 2019 Ash Wednesday service. Sunday School for all ages meets at 9:45 am.
A Maundy Thursday celebration will be on March 29th, 6:30 pm at the church. The evening will include a soup supper and a time of worship and communion. The word “Maundy” means “commandment”. We will remember the Thursday night when Jesus and His disciples observed “The Last Supper”, where He gave the commandment to them (and us) to “love one another”.
Children up to age 11 years old, and their families, are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at the church on Saturday, March 31st at 11 am. Children will hunt for candy - filled eggs and enjoy a story time and snacks. Parents: please dress children according to the weather (egg hunt will be outside if weather permits), and consider inviting friends to come with you. Blaine’s Easter
Celebration of the Resurrection will be Sunday, April 1st. Families can choose from the Praise And Worship Service at 8:30 am, or the Blended/Traditional Service at 11 am. Sunday School for all ages will be at 9:45 am. There will be refreshments and a time for fellowship after each service. You and your family are welcome to meet Blaine’s church family on Sunday mornings (see service times above). Separate activities (“Kid’s Kare”) are provided at each service for children 3 - 6 years old. Sunday School classes for children 2 years old through adults meet at 9:45 am.
